Furby

Phenomenon of End of 90's...

Although I wanted to have a Furby so much, I hadn't got it when I was child.

Furby was an electronic robot toy resembling a hamster or owl-like creature which went through a period of being a "must-have" toy following its launch at the end of 90's.

The main reason for their popularity was because of apparent "intelligence", reflected in their ability to develop language skills. Furbies could communicate with one another via an infrared port located between their eyes. Furbies start out speaking entirely Furbish, a language with short words, simple syllables, and various other sounds. 

There was a common misconception that they repeated words that were said around them. This belief most likely stemmed from the fact that it is possible to have the Furby say certain pre-programmed words or phrases more often by petting it whenever it said these words. As a result of this myth, several intelligence agencies banned them from their offices.

The originals are still popular with many hackers as they can be dissected and made to do interesting things.

"Cabbage" Dolls

    

Colorfully Heads

These type of dolls were named as "cabbage" in 90's. Their property was that their heads had a sweety smell and they were in any color like blue, red, pink purple... Of course their fans were girls :) I had a green cabbage doll and I liked to smell its head very much. I always tried to comb her hair and clothed different than my friend's dolls.   

Taso

Welcome to Taso Era!

Taso Tower

Nearly all children have played with these plastic discs named "Taso" in 90's. The most popular cartoon characters give attractiveness to them. Taso was a status symbol among children due to type of the characters. The child was the "king" who has the most taso. Every chips pack included one Taso and if you were lucky, you could find different one at every turn. Children bought chips just having a new taso and so chips producers had huge demands because of this crazy consuming. Taso has different playing styles such as making Taso tower, crashing one Taso to another and reversing. 

Now, all Tasos are hidden as a collection to show them to next generations...

Multicolor spirals were very popular tactile classic slinky toys in an array of rainbow colors in 90's.
This colourful rainbow springy slinky was just like the classic slinky toy, only made from kid-friendly plastic instead!

A variety of play resources; use at the top of the stairs, tip it over, and watch it walk down stairs! Play with it between your hands or see what shapes it can stretch to! This toy was usually used as bracelet by girls :) 

            

Crocodile Dentist

It's your turn to become dentist!

Going to dentist is a nightmare for everyone. However, now it's your turn to become a dentist! Because the crocodile is waiting for you to pull out its tooth. 

This game is both funny and excited due to you don't know which tooth is decayed. The aim is that pressing on tooth you choose and not to find the decayed one. If you find the decayed tooth, crodile will bite you :) The player has to complete his mission on tooth that he touches.

  

Brick Game

Who wants to be a brick maker?

Brick Game Console is a popular toy in 90's among children and also adults. It has different types of games but

Tetris is the most popular matching puzzle video game. The console has a small and black-white screen and 8 buttons with different functions. It works with 2 battery and makes sounds if required. There is generic statement which is "9999 IN 1"on it. However, there are max 10 different varieties of tetris game in every Brick Game Console :) 

Today the game is available for nearly every video game console and computer operating system, as well as on devices such as graphing calculators, mobile phones, portable media players.  

Lego

Creative Structures

Lego was very valuable for me due to I get them by collecting coupons from newspaper :) I waited so much for these little blocks to create my own structures. I had a gas station form but I could converted it into different models like house, office, market..etc. I strongly believe that these type of toys are very helpful for children in order to develop their skills both physically and mentally. They are funny for adults also :)
